President-elect Donald Trump has tapped former Alabama Gov.
Kay Ivey to be his chief of staff, Politico reported Thursday.
Ivey, who was the first female governor of Alabama, will serve as chief of the White House Office of Management and Budget, a position that Trump has not yet tapped.
Ivey served as secretary of the Alabama House of Representatives and then the governor from 2004 to 2008.
She joins a long list of candidates to fill the top executive job at the White Houses transition team, including Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.), Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.
Va.) and former Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R.S.).
Trump is set to nominate Mike Pompeo, former CIA director and former Kansas secretary of state, to serve as his CIA director.
Pompeo was nominated by former President Barack Obama in 2014.
